Come sail away with the best sailing team in Kalamazoo!

Western Michigan Sailing

We sail Club 420s, Lasers, and Flying Scots. No experience is required to join the team, if you don't know how to sail we can teach you! The only thing we ask is that you know how to swim.

Dues are $80 per semester. This makes the WMU sailing team one of the most cost effective club sport to join on campus. The dues collected go to buying new equipment, paying GLYC for facility use, membership dues to the MCSA, and travel to events.

Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are required to be used on any sailing outing. If you do not have a PFD we have a few to lend out. All of the boats are rented from the Gull Lake Yacht Club and are paid for through our membership dues.
